Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
- We collect only what we need to take your booking or order and to run this website.
- We never sell your information.
- We do not store your card details — card payments go through KNET.
- You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your information.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Naama Restaurant ("we", "us") handles personal information when you visit our website, book a table, place an order, chat with us or eat at the restaurant. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
2. Information you give us
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Booking or enquiry form | Your name, phone number, email (optional), the date, time and number of guests, and anything you write in the message. |
| Phone, WhatsApp or in-person orders | Your name, phone number, what you order and — for delivery — your address. |
| Chat window on this website | The messages you send, and your name, email or phone number if you choose to give them. |
| Paying for your order | The amount, payment method and receipt details. Card payments are processed by KNET / your bank; we never see or store your full card number. |
| Loyalty programme (if you join) | Your name, phone number and the points you earn and use. |
Allergies and dietary needs: if you tell us about an allergy or a health-related dietary need, we use it only to prepare your food safely and to handle that booking or order.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our server records:
- your IP address, browser and device type;
- the pages you view, the time of the visit, and the page or search that brought you here (including campaign tags in the link, if any);
- your approximate city and country, worked out from your IP address (see section 5).
We use this to understand how the website is used, to keep it secure and to stop spam. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
4. How we use your information
- To confirm and manage your table booking, order or event, and to contact you about it.
- To prepare and deliver your food, and to issue receipts and invoices.
- To answer your questions and chat messages.
- To run our loyalty programme, if you have joined it.
- To keep our website and systems secure and to prevent abuse and spam.
- To keep the accounting records the law requires.
We only send you offers or news if you have asked us to, and you can stop them at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where needed:
- Delivery: the person delivering your order receives your name, phone number and address.
- Payments: KNET and banks process card payments under their own privacy rules.
- Location lookup: our website sends your IP address to ip-api.com to find your approximate city and country.
- Website fonts and icons: these load from Google Fonts and Cloudflare (cdnjs), which receive your IP address when your browser requests them.
- WhatsApp: if you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) handles those messages under its own privacy policy.
- The law: when we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, our staff or our guests.
6. Cookies and browser storage
- Session cookie — keeps the website working while you use it (for example, it protects the booking form from forged submissions). It is needed for the site to work.
- Chat storage — the chat window saves a random chat ID in your browser so your conversation continues if you move to another page.
We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, but an open chat will start again.
7. How long we keep it
- Booking requests, enquiries and chat messages: only as long as we need them to handle your request and follow up on it.
- Receipts, invoices and payment records: as long as Kuwaiti accounting and tax rules require.
- Website visit logs: only as long as they are useful for security and understanding how the site is used.
8. How we protect it
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to booking, order and customer records is limited to staff who need it, using individual accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information and will act promptly if something goes wrong.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, invoices);
- stop sending you offers or news.
Just contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
10. Children
Children are very welcome at the restaurant, but bookings and orders should be made by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date at the top.
